Sub-Zero has started an initiative on how fresh food touches on not only matters of health but also family life, economics, culture and the environment. Their goal is to empower people to think fresh when it comes to the food they buy and the food they eat. About Katie's Krops:

The mission of Katie's Krops is to empower youth to start and maintain vegetable gardens of all sizes and donate the harvest to help feed people in need, as well as to assist and inspire others to do the same.

Giving Back With #FreshFoodMatters

The idea for Katie’s Krops began with a 9 year old girl and a 40 pound cabbage. In 2008 Katie brought home a tiny cabbage seedling home from school as part of the Bonnie Plants 3rd Grade Cabbage Program. She tended to her cabbage and cared for it until it grew to an amazing 40 pounds. Knowing her cabbage was special she donated to a soup kitchen where it helped to feed over 275 people. Moved by the experience of seeing how many people could benefit from the donation of fresh produce to soup kitchens, Katie decided to start vegetable gardens and donate the harvest to help feed people in need.

Katie now has numerous gardens and has donated thousands of pounds of fresh produce to organizations that help people in need. The mission of Katie's Krops is to empower youth to start and maintain vegetable gardens of all sizes and donate the harvest to help feed people in need, as well as to assist and inspire others to do the same. The problem of hunger is real, Katie's Krops mission is simple, we all can help because...

For every use of the hashtag #FreshFoodMatters on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram from April to July 2016, Sub-Zero will donate $5 to Katie's Krops, up to $25,000.

Family Recipe: Best Ribs on the Grill

Family Recipes make the best meals. They are often intertwined with memories of good times and great company. Everyone in our family enjoys this recipe and in honor of Ribfest Chicago this weekend, we thought this would be a great one to share with you! Enjoy the special Krasney sauce! #GrillingisEasy

Grilling Directions:

Season Ribs with McCormicks garlic sea salt grinder and pepper grinder
Cook them on the grill on low for 1 hour and add our special sauce for last half hour
